The following positions are special positions with special privilges, these are people who report directly to the Supreme Ruler. These are those among the most trusted, most loyal, most tested, that have served in the IR in other areas or were close friends to the Supreme Ruler. The next post shows positions that are held by players or NPCs. Those with NPCs need players, though some positions may not be as interesting, these are just other options for players to consider.

Position Descriptions and Responsibilities:
Below are the details and descriptions of what such personnel would do.

Fleet Executive Officer (XO): The Fleet Executive Officer is normally the second in command of a fleet and performs executive tasks and assists the Commanding Officer where needed. However, since the Commanding Officer is the Supreme Ruler, the Executive Officer of this fleet has a lot more duties and is solely responsible for the duties the CO would normally perform over the fleet.
Fleet Command Coordinations Officer (CCO): This person has the duties of the CCO plus assists the XO and takes on the duties a normal XO would perform.
Fleet Wing Commander: This person is in command/responsible for charge of all fighter squadrans of the fleet.

Royal Guard Commander: This person has a lot of duties. This person follows the Supreme Ruler everywhere, has the knowledge and skills of all other positions on the Prince's personal staff and can perform in all functions. Can act on behalf of the Supreme Ruler when situation merits. Responsible for coordination of protection of the Supreme Ruler's guard and security forces.

Health Supervisor: This person's job is to monitor the Supreme Ruler's vitals, perform frequent checkups, and make sure that he is eating well, in shape, taking the right medications if any, and any other medical needs a personal physician would perform.

Policy Advisors & Political Officers: These personnel advise the Supreme Ruler on policies in existance or ideas for new ones or help him write new ones or manage existing ones. They are from each major political commission and act as messengers, councilors, advisors, and representatives between the bodies. They work hand-in-hand with those divisions leaders, the Supreme Ruler, and the political officers on the Supreme Ruler's staff.

Office Secretaries: The Office Secretaries responsibilities are to maintain schedules, coordinate events, assist with planning, passing on messages, etc. to and from the Supreme Ruler's office from the Palace and wherever the Supreme Ruler may be (travelling aboard the Prince's Pride, etc.

Military Aide(s): These persons' responsibilities are to keep the Supreme Ruler updated on current military issues and events and advise him on decisions reguarding such, as well as monitor the military leadership and act as messenger and liason as required.

Intelligence Officer: These persons' jobs are to make sure the Supreme Ruler is provided with the most current information as it comes in and as necessary and are direct liasons from Imperial Republic Intelligence.

Communications Director: This person is solely responsible as a spokesperson for the Supreme Ruler in communicating with the press, writing or assisting writing speeches, documents, and acting as liason to the Ministry of Public Affairs.


By the way - if new people come in I would much rather have REAL people as my personal staff because they would have things to do. They can take on these names or other names instead of creating their own unless they are insistant upon creating their own. All personal staff except Megan De`Soto and the fleet command staff are vacant (fleet command staff is vacant but the names are unchangeable).

These officers are key personnel that ensure that the High Prince's fleet runs smoothly.

Personal Staff:
This group of people is his personal staff that travels with him everywhere he goes, and are always assisting him in his everyday work. This group of names in particular should be recognizable by everybody because all people communicate with them a lot more since the High Prince himself is very busy. Also, these personnel are authorized and do from time to time and frequently sit on committees and councils and meetings for the High Prince in his place or to speak on his behalf.
