The Galactic Senate is one of the legislative bodies of the Imperial Republic, which falls under the direction and supervision of the Supreme Chancellor, and the High Council as a whole. The High Council can disband or suspend the senate at any given time with a 3/4 vote.
The Senate is presided by the President of the Senate, which is always the Supreme Chancellor.
Senatorial positions are open, such as system senators, and many more. More often than not characters will have either a second character for the senate or they will hold a second position with their single character, such as a government position other than the senate as well, as usually it is the most boring of all the other jobs.
