Tavria walked out to her podium and to make an announcement concerning the Emergency Sessions of the High Council and the Senate. She paused briefly before beginning.

"The High Prince announced today during these Emergency Sessions the resignation and retirement of Lord Admiral Eric Jackson from all positions he held in this government. He and his family have faithfully served the Imperial Republic for countless years, and will be a tremendous loss to this government, and to the people of the galaxy.

With the resignation of Executor Jackson, the High Prince wanted to appoint a faithful servant of the people of the Imperial Republic to replace the former Executor. And he did just that, he appointed former High Councilor, and now Second Executor Ieyena Cohean, who has served the Imperial Republic and has guided through these many years, for she has served since the foundation of this great government.

The Director of Imperial Republic Intelligence, Jenov Raveshaw, effectively resigned his position in the Imperial Republic citing personal reasons. No replacement has been announced to replace the Director. He will be a great loss."

Tavria paused to let the news sink in to the crowd.

"Also, The High Prince will step away from the day-to-day running of this government and will take an extended leave of absence from the Royal Imperial Throne. During his absence, the First Executor of the Imperial Republic, Layha Solo-Katarn will assume the duties of the High Prince until the day of his return. Executor Solo-Katarn will be granted the title of Dowager Empress and has the full authority of the High Prince to rule in his place during his absence."
