The Rebel Princess came out of hyper space less than a kilometer away from Layha’s Hapan fleet. Her entourage of supplies ships came less than a second later. Layha took the co pilot seat of the Rebel Princess and watched as Rhowen took manual control of the ship. “This is the Rebel Princess requesting landing secure platform 548.” There was a moment’s delay before a woman’s voice came over and acknowledge the request. Rhowen took the Rebel Princess in closer to the Silver Dragon and was escorted into a secure platform only used for Layha.
Layha stood as Rhowen quickly shut down the ship’s consoles, “You do have a plan, right.” Layha turned to face her friend and body guard and raised a thin brow. “You’ve known me for how long? And you are still asking me that question?” Rhowen rolled her eyes as she swiveled to follow Layha out of the cockpit and down the lowered ramp. “Right… stupid question.” Layha said nothing as she was greeted by the Silver Dragons captain. “Reports Captain.” The tall slender red head shook her head. “Your Aunt is quiet stubborn Empress. She has not complied with a single order you have given us.” Layha said nothing as the small group moved out of the bay and into the halls of the large Battle Dragon. “We have cut off every supply line, but she still manages to get in pirates who are able to supply her with materials.” The captain shook her head. “I am at a lost her Empress. I have never felt so frustrated in my life. Your Aunt is the devil.” They had made it to the bridge and Layha took in the scene before her. “You have no idea Captain. Establish a secure link to the palace. I think its about time my Aunt and I had a talk.” The Hapan Captain nodded and motioned for the communication team to do as the Empress had commanded. A moment of silence blanketed the bridge and then a slight hissing sound erupted through out the room as the screen in front of Layha and the Captain switched from a viewing screen to a view of the Hapan Throne Room. The tall slender Queen Mother sat on her throne with a smug smile on her face. “Aw Layha darling, it was only a matter of time before you would come home. And look at you, you look so… well. Tell me how are the children?” Layha wasn’t buying any of what Caralon was selling. “I want to see Lia Nason and the twins.” Caralon waved a hand. “Now why would you fly half way across the Galaxy to see that boring bafoon? Let’s cut to the point darling. You are here because I have beaten you at your own game and you can’t stand it.” Layha sat down and gave out a sharp laugh. “Beaten me? Are you serious? I think you are mistaken dear Aunty and your loosing your touch in your old age.” Caralon sat back in her throne. “Is that right?” Layha mirrored her and sat back. “Oh yes. Now Lia Nason and the twins.” Caralon took her time answering. “Lia Nason is dead. Killed by pirates. We have been having problems with them lately. Ever since you decided to cut down my supply lines I have had to rely on Pirates. A few crews got out of hand and that poor bafoon was killed. It was an unfortunate event.” Layha’s eyes narrowed. “So it would seem.” Layha gave the signal and the link was cut. She sat there for a moment pondering her next move. “Captain, have a small escort ship prepare to go into the mist. At dawn we land on Hapes.” She stood and signaled Rhowen to follow. The captain bowed and turned to do as she was ordered. Layha and Rhowen exit the bridge and quickly made their way to Layha’s personal quarters. “How many women and men should we bring?” Layha shook her head. “Not many, just a small party. I don’t want Caralon feeling threatened.” Rhowen stopped just outside the door. “Is that even possible?” “Anything is possible. A small group of no more then ten.” Layha turned and entered her quarters leaving Rhowen to gather her entourage. This was going to be a long night.
