The Imperial Republic Intelligence Services are responsible for establishing and managing the Imperial Republic's methods and support systems for acquiring, sorting, and analysing information and threats to the Imperial Republic. Operations requiring the waging of unconventional warfare or the use of deniable assets will commonly come under the hand of an Imperial Republic Intelligence Service as well. While a civilian department, Imperial Republic Intelligence Services afford a great range of movement within military matters, advising as available. Ultimately, the Imperial Republic Intelligence Services are responsible for the administration and execution of all affairs within and undertaken by Imperial Republic Intelligence, and reports only to the Director of IRIS and in turn, the Throne.


Positions

Understand that specific organization of IRIS is highly classified and released only to specific personnel. The areas of employment listed below are merely the broad bureaus, divisions, and offices under which a person may seek service within IRIS. If there are any specific questions, comments, or concerns, they may be addressed directly to myself.

Ubiqtorate - The Ubiqtorate oversees all of the activities of Imperial Republic Intelligence Services at the highest levels. The Ubiqtorate formulates strategies for the bureaus of Imperial Republic Intelligence and presents the bureaus with a set of goals and very broad grand strategic considerations and asks them to plan an effective strategy. With the exception of the adjustments office, members of the Ubiqtorate never have any communication with personnel at the sector or system level. They would certainly never deal with an individual field agent.

Bureau of Operations - Of all the bureaus in Imperial Republic Intelligence Services, this is the one which is called the "Bureau"; no one in Imperial Republic Intelligence for more than a few days would call it anything else. Operating in the strictest secrecy, the Bureau conducts all manners of clandestine and special operations and information gathering for Imperial Republic Intelligence.

Bureau of Analysis - This bureau handles gargantuan amounts of data from tens of millions of sources. In addition to looking for enemy activity, it looks for patterns or trends in social data, which might be useful to the agents over in the Intelligence Division. Analysis also handles, examines and copies useful technologies, even developing a few of their own.

Intelligence Division - The collection of field agents, military liaisons, and sector plexuses which ensure the proper execution of IRIS policy and operations in various areas of the Imperial Republic. Assignment often requires approval not only from the Ubiqtorate, but joint communities as well.

Diplomatic Services Office - Diplomatic Services is the catchall branch of the Bureau. It provides a stable portion of the personnel for trade and diplomatic missions found in Imperial Republic garrisons, as well as political experts for planetary governments and Moffs. Many of these personnel are well trained and expected to perform only their overt duties, with the exception of reporting their action to Imperial Republic Intelligence. Others are more clandestine agents, some sent on specific destabalization missions, but most sent to establish and organize system cells within there area of influence. These individuals are commonly placed under the command of an agent from the Intelligence Division.
