Use this threat to post your reports.
This is a new procedure. I will authorize Grand Admiral OVERMIND to make modifications to this procedure as he sees fit and to finalize them after consulting with the Executor or myself. EVERYONE (including myself) will file post-battle reports. Classified versions of the reports may be submitted to me via PM for High Council review. My own report may include some classified material.
All military officers that were active and participants during the Palace Storm scenario are to submit a post-battle report to their direct superior. (Ex. Lt Hollis will report to General Cognatus who will report to Grand Admiral OVERMIND who will report to me and the High Council.) This report should include all losses/gains during the battle, a summary of actions carried out by the individual or team under the person's command, how they feel they performed (what they could have done better or justifying odd actions taken), and any recommendations or comments concerning other personnel they interacted with.
Following these reports, CO's will announce to their unit the unit's overall effectiveness and current standing as a result from the battle. They will also present post-battle awards or promotions at this time. Keep in mind some awards and promotions require authorization from branch leaders and some require authorization from the Throne.
The Supreme Ruler does hereby authorize and delegate authority to branch leaders to make sure that all individuals active (or even semi-active) paticipants in the Palace Storm scenario are awarded Battle Efficiency awards (as appropriate), and the Imperial Republic Active Service Medal (for participating in a major campaign). Other awards will be presented as warranted at a later time or as authorized by the branch leader, the Minister of Defense, or the Throne (as needed). Branch leaders are entitled to present branch medals, though some may require approval from the Minister of Defense prior, and the Minister of Defense has his own jurisdiction over various awards and medals, and others require Throne endorsement. See www.imperialrepublic.org/awards/ for more information. CO's should see to it that families of those who have fallen in battle are presented with the Obsidian Crescent on behalf of the Imperial Republic to honor their sacrifice. The Throne authorizes branch leaders to take this initiative.

Sir,
Exactly 24 hours ago I received a Code 7 alert from yourself. I was at the time at the barracks of the Coruscant Garrison on inspection. Upon receiving the alert, I immediately mobilized the ground forces, with teams dispatched to the Palace and to other targeted areas. We lost contact with the Palace almost immediately after receiving your alert and we were not able to break through the jamming. We were alerted to a hostile fleet arriving in system, while also alerted that the planetary shields were still down. Before we were able to do anything about it we had three troop transports landing from the hostile fleet. The transports were fully loaded with assault troops and heavy assault vehicles. Their first targets were the planetary shield generators and military targets. Lieutenant Hollis led a strike team to one of the shield generators and was able to successfully regain control of it and defeat enemy forces in that region. I successfully established contact with Admiral Firecam shortly before his declaration of Throne Regency to coordinate our attacks.
We encountered heavy attacks directly in front of the Palace gates. There was much callatoral damage among the surrounding buildings. I ordered an evacuation of all civilians in the area. Many homes and businesses were destroyed. We suffered heavy ground personnel losses in the encounter but were able to wipe out all of the enemy's forces, including the heavy vehicles. Once that was accomplished, I took a small team into the palace. I had to destroy the main gates to gain entry. We met up with Colonel Shan and sent a small team with her to rescue the hostages at the Ministry of Finance level. I traced your movements to the end point and met up with you there.
Overall, we suffered heavy damages to the Palace, and encountered heavy resistance from the renegade guards whom we used to place our trust for the security of the Royal Family. I regret to hear of the even greater losses in orbit, and offer my condolences on your loss of the Avenger and of notable personnel such as Captain Rooney of the Prince's Pride. We will forever be in their debt. On a positive personnel note, I have promoted 1st Lieutenant Hollis to the rank of Captain for her outstanding performance and leadership of ground troops and successful completion of the mission. She has also been awarded appropriate awards post-battle as instructed by the Throne.
Respectfully,
Major General Dene Vye Cognatus

Re: Operation Debriefing
Admiral OVERMIND,
The following data and attatched files contain the summery of the recent space battle above Coruscant as well as justification and reasons for my temporary declaration of Throne Regency. Your CODE 7 alert was recieved slightly over 24 hours ago during routine inspections at the Naval headquarters at Kuat. Upon learning more about the situation I took the inititive to bring my fleet as well as a few additional support ships to Coruscant to assist with the situation. Initially, no hostile ships were encountered, however, it was clear that the forces that comprised the Red Fleet were the true enemy shortly after arrival.
It was necessary, due to the inability to contact the High Prince or yourself to therefore declare Regency to allow for targeting of what IFF flagged as friendly forces, and I made the judgement call with this in mind. Throne Regency was relinquished once the Executor arrived in the system. Once the enemy was established, I assumed overall command of the situation in your absence and led our Naval forces to victory over the traitors. Attatched datafile TX-21B v1.3 contains the full listing of Repubic ships and captains that took place in the battle, as well as those that suffered combat damage or were sunk. There are a few items of note from that file that I wish to highlight. First off, the Princes Pride did suffer heavy damage, but I made its survival a top priority and it was saved from total anihilation from the superlasers. Second, my own flagship, the Highwind also took minor damage. I've got crews working on it now and it should be fully operational by the time that you recieve this message. Finally, I offer my condolences for the loss of your flagship. The men and women that served onboard the Avenger were some of the best that we had, and their loss will truly be felt. I was able to recover several escape pods from your flagship, however, and these officers are currently recovering on the Highwind and will be available to return to active service under your command within a few weeks.
Overall, I'd like to note that our officers preformed exceptionally well, especially considering the circumstances. Response times were above average, and crews preformed their duties with precision and accuracy. I would like to also commend my squadron Commander, Lt Kasra, for his work during the operation. Due to his leadership and skill, many of the enemy transports were destroyed before they could reach the surface. This most likely saved the lives of hundreds of ground troopers. Squadrons under his command also assisted in the rescue and recovery operation of key personel from sunk warships.
A followup will be sent to you within a few hours once the repair times for our damaged ships has been calculated, but at this moment we have enough free ships for a second operation theater if necessary.
Regards,
Admiral Locke Firecam

Sir,
At about 2200 last night, an attempt was made on your life. Captain Gemmel and my responded with haste. During the short skirmish Captain Gemmel, I am sorry to report, was killed in action. From there, you, your Noghri, and myself traveled to Alpha Point while evading former Royal Guard personnel. Once we arrived, we encountered heavy resistance and decided to strategically withdraw to an undisclosed location. En route, we picked up Dana. Once at the undisclosed location, plans were made for a counterattack on Alpha Point. Once plans were complete, we acted on them.
No resistance was met until we actually entered Alpha point. Kennedy shortly revealed himself and began a one on one fight with you amidst the surrounding battle. Once Kennedy revealed himself, I seperated myself under strict orders to do so. Needless to say, I was not happy with them although I did comply. I retreated into the depths of Alpha Point while fleeing six former Royal Guardsmen. With stealth and cunning, I was able to eliminate them all or so I thought. I was taken by suprise by Seth Witler, who shot me three times my right arm. Due to his ignorance, I was able to dispatch of him quickly. From there I started searching the halls for more traitors when I came upon Jaylen Myst. Though he was formerly part of Kennedy's forces he is now an ally. Let it be known, sir, that he fought under Kennedy under duress. We were eventually caught in another skirmish where I completely lost my right arm. Because the situation was dire, I resorted to drastic measures and used a det pack to dispatch the enemy troop. Unfortunately, I was too close to the blast and suffer minor to moderate injuries to several ribs and leg--both of which are almost healed thanks to medical personnel. With Jaylen's assistance, I made it back to where you fought Kennedy. You were not there so both Jaylen and I sought medical attention.
As stated above, my injuries are almost healed. Also, I was given another replacement arm similar in design to my previous one.

Lt. Koru Tav
