In the Royal Imperial Throneroom, holocams and a few reporters stood with anxiety over the event about to take place. The room was full with various security details, high ranking government officials, and other special guests. The High Prince rarely ever reporters in the Throneroom, though this time he had made a small exception, allowing five of the news agencies to send one representative. Many new security-types, all clad in a royal blue and purple uniform, stood at attention in an assembly. Everyone awaited the arrival of the High Prince and who they guessed would be the new leader of an organization, rumours pointing to a new Royal Guard organization.
Back in the Private Office of the Supreme Ruler, the High Prince went over his notes and continued his work. He would soon be joined by the Executor and Minister of Defense, and the new Commandant. This was a happy occasion. General Bodost and his teams were already in place, and the General was undoubtely preparing for transition of security for the Throne level and royal residential and office areas of the Palace. Though they would stay on until the recruitment process was complete, they would slowly phase out from primary duty, though there was still going to be an IRSB unit assigned to the Palace at all times, as were their units from every security agency of the Imperial Republic assigned to it.

A cloaked figure passed through some shadows, the shade of purple causing the person to be all but invisible within the darkened area. Other than the color, the armor looked like something out of a history book detailing information from the long extinct Galactic Empire that Palpatine had ruled. The figure paused outside the office door and signaled the occupent within.

Grand Admiral OVERMIND was standing almost in the shadows of the Throne Room. He had been invited for the event, but he was not particularly in the mood for talking to the reporters. Besides, the present event was going to be far more interesting than talking to the Minister of Defense.

Diandra stood from her desk and stretched languidly. A signal came to her from outside the office, letting her know that all was ready in the throne room. Dressed impeccably as always, she patted a few stray hairs into place and straightened out her uniform before moving to the door that separated her small office from His Majesty's office.
She knocked twice before she opened the door and stepped into Stratus' office, her hands held before her in a demure gesture. Her posture was ramrod straight, elegant, and tense. She would no doubt be accompanying His Majesty in the throne room; at least just to stand several steps behind him and look pretty.
"Your Majesty," she said softly as she entered. "Everything is ready for you in the throne room. Your pet Dragons await for whatever morsels you might give them."
She of course, was referring to the reporters. They were vicious creatures in and of themselves, and they were always eager to hear of something from the palace. Drama: it was a reporter's life.
Diandra stood there, awaiting her boss' orders.

Tavria noticed the Admiral and made her way over to him without being picked up by the media. Once she was standing next to him she nodded her head slightly and talked softly, "Its good to see you again Admiral."

The High Prince nodded and smiled as his secretary walked in. "Looks like its time, Colonel Shan," he said, with a hint of excitement in his voice. "It is your time to shine." He looked around to those in the room. "Let's move, folks." He led the way and their was applause and salutes as the double doors opened and the High Prince and his entourage entered the Throne Room. Uniformed Palace Security Agents, Imperial Republic Security Agents, and a group of uniformed men and women clad in purple and blue combat suits, standing at attention. When the High Prince and his group came to a halt at the center of the Throne itself, silence came all around the room. The High Prince's voice was booming and authoritative.
"Recent events have led us to some misfortune. It has brought specific issues of internal security to our attention, which, I am pleased to say, have been corrected, though the process is still somewhat ongoing it has met with huge success, though some casualties. It is therefore necessary that we reorganize and re-establish a unit and team which we once trusted with the safety of some of the most critical personnel of the Imperial Republic and critical operations as well. We must form a fresh view of this organization. As of today, we are formally creating the organization of His Majesty's Royal Guard. Their uniforms as you see to my right are new and fresh, a new design, a new name, a new trust, a new start, and.." there was a short pause, "a new commandant." He motioned for a woman clothed similar to the new Royal Guards though a bit more distinguished approached from behind. "I present to you Colonel Kaidlen Shan, who I hereby appoint as Commandant of the His Majesty's Royal Guard, effective immediately. I would also like to make mention of Captain Koru Tav, who has served us well, and should be honored for his loyalty and exemplary service. He shall serve as the Attachment Leader of my personal guard unit, also known as Captain of the Guard. The new organization shall have the full authority of a security agency of the Imperail Republic with special powers neccessary to carry out their responsibilities to maintain the safety and security of key government personnel. The recruitment project is assigned to Captain Tav and Colonel Shan, and they will begin immediately. Without further adieu, I will dismiss all present at these procedings, as we all have a lot of work to do, I am sure you all understand. Thank you."
With those final words, the High Prince and his entourage departed the way that they came, and the armed units snapped to formation and marched out, taking positions as assigned, the guards marching out to a small assembly room where they would meet with Colonel Shan and Captain Tav for a briefing.

The Admiral was distracted thinking about something else when he heard the soft voice of Executor Treyson. He turned quickly and replied:
"Ma'am, my apologies, I did not notice you coming over here... My mind was somewhere else. It is good to see you too..."
He did not have time to say anything else as the High Prince started his statement. Surprinsingly, the statement was very brief.
"Well, that was quick" commented the Admiral.

Colonel Shan stepped forward when her name was announced. In her left hand she held an unusual looking staff. A helmet was tucked against her right side and held in place with her arm. With a brief dip of her head, she made her way over to the gathered members of the new unit.
(OOC: This is what the armor of the Royal Guard looks like, except without the purple flash that crosses the chest piece just under the shoulder armor.)
