I've been holding this off for as long as I can as far as public announcements go, but I can no longer. I regret to inform you of the departure of a friend of mine, Dene Vye Cognatus, from the EOTIR-RPG.

As far as in character is concerned, we will finish out the Turbulence scenario with his eventual surrender, he will be tried for the charges in the Wind Stills scenario, and then will be restored to duty (pending trial, of course), and will be granted honorable retirement from the military for his dedicated years of service. Dene has been with us for about 4 years now OOC, and its sad to see him leave. It is a heavy loss.

If anyone has any questions please let me know. IC announcements concerning military leadership/command will be forthcoming. We are still waiting on some replies to inquiries sent out.

This is incredibly saddening...IC wise couldn't be easier he just dissapears? If he ever returns, at least he can come out of shadows. I don't know I was thinking he would go into solitude like Kenobi...just me.

IC wise that would be dishonorable and would result in real charges of direlection of duty. No. We shall let him leave in peace with the Imperial Republic, as an honored combat hero and leader of soldiers.

Besides, the player might eventually decide to return and if so, he can always come out of retirement.

It is a sad day indeed. IC will be definitively different. I've had the priviledge of RPing with him on only a few occasions, but I must agree with the honorable retirement scenario. It seems like the option that would it the character best.
