To maintain order in the court, we must ask everyone to adhere to these standards. Those who are out of line will be escorted out by the Security Bureau, and possibly held for contempt. Any Inquisitor may invoke these powers.

The Three Inquisitors: In cases where the three inquisitors are called to decide on a case, all three hold full authority and must make decisions unanimously. The High Inquisitor is generally considered the chair, or spokesperson, who officiates, though his power is the same to the other two. Any of the three inquisitors may ask questions, agree to hear from certain witnesses or individuals, or call for a break, so the three may convene and discuss. They are the jurors and judges. They determine not only guilt and innocence, but the consequences that shall follow.

The Attorneys:
The IR Attorney is the prosecution and represents the State, as well as all security agencies involved, including (in this case) the Military Police, the Security Bureau, Intelligence, and the Royal Guard. They determine who will be allowed to speak against the defendant and what evidence will be presented against him. The prosecution can cross-examine witnesses called by Defense and generally is first to present their own case.

The Defense Attorney, appointed to represent Command General Cognatus on behalf of the Ministry of Defense. Those who wish to speak on the General's behalf must make contact with said person in order to get on the list, as he/she is in charge of the defense and presenting their case. Defense can cross-examine witnesses by the prosecuting as well as call their own.

Any other speakers will be called upon at the will of the Inquisition. Their final decisions can be appealed, to the Royal Throne Tribunal, though rarely are appeals ever heard by said body.

Complications may arise in cases in which members of the Throne, particularly the Supreme Ruler and Executor are present. The High Inquisition reports directly to the Executor, and the Supreme Ruler, to whom she reports. The Supreme Ruler has the power to overturn decisions made by the Inquisition though has never done so in the history of its existence. Once formally charged the Supreme Ruler also, as well as the Supreme Chancellor, have the powers to pardon, though some restrictions and limitations do apply.

Those who wish to post as observers may do so, but may not speak in the court unless authorized, or they will be escorted out. Questions and concerns are to be addressed here, and the Inquisitors will do their best to answer them as time allows.
