It's the next big Star Wars con, and during it, they will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. Kaidlen wants to attend, especially if she can find people who are willing to go in together for a room. (Note, she lays claim to getting a bed, she can't handle sleeping on floors anymore.)

That sounds interesting, but I am not yet sure I can make it. I would have to balance my vacation time in order to be able to. I will know more in a couple of months.

Oh I am going to. I'm even planning on getting a memory card for the camera as well. The fun part will be getting the pics off the card, since I don't have a slot for it on my tower.

It now appears that this is to be a family affair. Father and daughters.
I have booked my flights (the same as Stratus, even). Despite fate throwing my car a crushing blow, it seems I have been given the gentle push to go ahead thanks to my parents giving me a loaner for as long as I choose to pay the insurance, saving me from a car payment.
Now, the costuming begins.

I'm keeping my wardrobe simple- Star Wars t-shirts and shorts. The humidity is HORRIBLE in Orlando. Lots of water around where we're going to be. I have 2 brand new shirts that I will be wearing for the first time there, and I'm planning to order at least 2 more, not counting getting one of the convention shirts. Besides, I can't afford to do either of the costumes that I would want to do.

I had Kev post this as soon as we learned about it, and I posted my intent to go then if finances would permit. When I learned back in Feb that they would, I posted it here that I would be attending. Jim and Auri only just decided to go within the last week and a half, along with finding the financial means to go. You could have been making the arrangements back since Feb, when I said I would be going. Ah well, there's always Celebration VI. Sorry OM that you can't go. However, Jim and I (if I can get a camera by then) will be taking lots of pictures which will be posted for everyone to see.

The CV guest list keeps getting bigger and bigger. Anthony Daniels has joined the guest list, and is one of the $50 autographs. I'm holding out for Mark Hamill, praying he goes.

Kaidlen is doing a major happy dance all around her apartment.
My CV ticket arrived in the mail today, and it's exactly like I hoped it would be. What I was hoping for was some kind of a badge that would be worn on a lanyard, and that's exactly what it is. YAY!

Celebration V is going awesome! Aurielle's costume is a big hit! She hand made it and is totally amazing. We got to see George Lucas, Mark Hammil and Carrie Fisher LIVE! It was great!! Disney last tour to endor tonight!!!!

And we have returned home from CV. It was awesome getting in to see Mark Hamill. They ended up turning it into a ticketed event. I also met Ashley "Ahsoka Tano" Eckstein. She's really nice. I got a hug from her. *grins*
