As it says above, this scenario follows after the wind stills, Dene is returned to active duty, he returns to the Jedi temple, takes on an apprentice and his normal Military duties. Everyone is invited to roleplay, no god moding, no time traveling.

Basically im going to free form this scenario, with little structure for more realism. So I am not going to write out a huge background but I will tell you the beginning and we shall make an ending.

The Beginning
Takes place on Coruscant, where Dene lives (anyone else is assumed on Coruscant for whatever reason, make one up). The enemy faction that assaulted and enslaved the planet, Kamino, is back at it, but this time they have plans to attack the Imperial Republic. They are angered, and seeking revenge for their failed defense of Kamino. Rhen Var, a heavily fortified military base loses contact. The IR Responds...

Dene was motionless, as he was asleep on his bed. A bead of sweat rolled down his face. The sound of a million voices rushed through his head quickly, causing him to sit up in bed. He rubbed the scar that ran across his left eye, then moved his rough hands to his forehead trying to regain control of his mind.

He looked to his dresser, his black and silver lightsaber hilt remained motionless, but Dene felt like he needed to find something. He shook his head and stood up, the rush of blood shot to his head as he felt dizzy, but moments later he was back to himself. He walked outside onto the balcony and took in the night air. "We were deceived." He muttered aloud to himself,

It has been 3 weeks since the Trial of the now Command Marshall Cognatus finished. Vex was given the task to form up his own Squadron and to lead it for the glory of the Imperial Republic and his Majesty, he was really proud to see that he finally had the chance to develop the 21st Fighter Squadron as one of the bests in the Galaxy.

Early that morning, the Major woke up and dressed himself in his On-Duty uniform since he had to deliver some official papers and information for the last members of the now "Raikiri" squad before going to active duty in the Military. So far he managed to get to known them and share a few drills, but they still had to see some action together and he could not wait to meet them in orbit and wait for his first assignment.

Vexander began to walk in the crowded roads of Coruscant straight to the Ministry of Defense.

Jared had rented a ship for the two of them to fly back to coruscant on after their three week vacation on spira, it had been a beautiful trip and they had decided to take a private ship back to Coruscant so they could enjoy each others company for awhile longer. He was standing in the galley at the moment making them a bit of food, the three weeks had been amazing along with being filled with many changes for both himself and Diandra.

Diandra slipped up behind Jared and wrapped her arms around his waist. Being that she was shorter than him, she ended up standing on tip-toe to kiss the side of his neck with a little laugh. "You woke me up," she complained playfully to him as she moved to stand next to him, arms still around his waist. "You woke me up with all the good smells you're making. Now, then, what are you cooking that smells so divine?"

He leaned over and kissed her forehead for a moment before he stirred what he was cooking again."Just some eggs, with a bit of extras in it." He grinned down at her as he stirred the eggs again, he wondered what life would be like for them once they settled back into their normal lives.

Diandra grinned wickedly at him. "Extras, huh?" Her voice suggested to him that extras were sexy and at the moment, more interesting than anything he was cooking. "What kind of 'extras', Mister Quinn?" She reached over then and turned off the stove before inserting herself between him and the food. "How about we forget the extras and go enjoy ourselves?" Jared would've found the Diandra he'd known back at Coruscant to be very different from the real one, who stood in front of him now.

As she slipped between him and the stove the ship was rocked by harsh laser and ion fire, any resemblance of relaxation in the special forces officer dissipated as he looked down at her."Get to the bedroom and stay there." He moved quickly towards the cockpit as the ship was rocked by another volley of weapons fire, Jared was trying to discern who was attacking them and why exactly.

The next few moments happened in slow motion for Jared as he felt something attaching to airlock section of the ship they had rented, in a few moments Jared was at the airlock prepared to deal with whoever came into the room. He wasn't wearing any armor and the only weapon he had was his small service blaster, as the airlock opened he opened fire with his pistol sending the first two men to an early grave before he was clipped by the man behind them. Jared knew his choices at that exact moment were nil as he didn't have any tricks up his sleeve so he emptied his pistol into the incoming men before he took a blaster bolt directly to the chest.

Diandra heard the commotion up at the front of the ship. Having her own blaster that Kaidlen had gifted her, she took it from her bags and then crawled under the bed to hide herself, hoping and praying that she would not need to use it. However, if she did, she was going to do anything to keep herself from harm. Jared had never failed her before, but even she knew that without his armor there was more of a chance that he could be hurt. The thought made her throat tighten with emotion until she could barely breathe, but then, as Jared had taught her during those three weeks, she forced her emotions back and took deep, steady breaths. She could not and would not be caught in such a state if anyone other than Jared came to look for her.

One of the men walked into the bedroom while they were looking for something, he then reached under the bed and grabbed around before he felt Diandra's ankle. In the next moment she was yanked out from beneath the bed and staring down the barrel of a long retired blaster rifle."Nice and Easy there missy. Put the weapon down." The fully armored individual knew who she was and knew what kind of price they would get for her safe return.

The first thing that Diandra did was to kick with all her might as he dragged her out from under the bed. She screamed the whole way, demanding to be let go. Then, when she came face to face with the barrel of the blaster, she lifted her own and pointed it at the man's head. "I'm not putting it down," she said haughtily. "But you are going to let me be. Let go of me this instant."

Another of the men walked in then and shot her with a small tranquilizer dart before he picked her up and started carrying her towards the airlock again. They had gotten what they had come for and were going to leave the ship and Jared, during their sweep of the ship he had regained enough consciousness to drag himself to the cockpit and hit the distress signal before collapsing into unconsciousness again.

It was a few days later when Quinn woke up in the hospital on Coruscant, he had been rescued by a imperial republic patrol near their position but without their assailants nearby or any real trace of them on the ship.

Dene walked back into the room as his holo-player ringed. "Command Marshal Cognatus, this is Dr. Jenia with the 18th Sector Fleet. Group Captain Quinn has been recovered, he was wounded but will make it. A passenger on his ship is miss.." Dene interrupted the recording. "Diandra. Dr Jenia you are dismissed, thank you for your report, please take care of Quinn and see to it he is on the next shuttle to Coruscant." Dene turned it off and walked over to his desk.

"Lady Diandra has been kidnapped, and this Situation on Rhen Var, what in gods name is going on." Dene smirked as his hand rubbed his goatee. He clicked a communicator on his wrist "This is Cognatus, get my ship ready and activate code red for the military, all Fleet and Battalion Commanders are to report to the Coruscant Military Field Command Center." Dene clicked it off and grabbed his uniform, rank cylinders and his lightsaber as he walked out to his personal ship.

He headed straight to the CC.

The High Prince was in his office. It was quite a mess. He couldn't wait until Diandra was back from vacation with Group Captain Quinn. The place wasn't the same without her. Her assistant did okay, but no one could manage the staff and the place as well as Lady Devin. A royal guardsman came tumbling into the Prince's private office, out of breath. He had been running. Strange. Guards generally only run in response to a crisis. "You have something to report, Lieutenant?"

"My Lord." He offered a deep bow and then stood. "I have been dispatched to inform you that Lady Devin has been kidnapped."

"What? How is this possible? She was under Jared Quinn's protection! What of Captain Quinn?"

"I'm afraid he was injured my Lord, but he is expecting full recovery and just arrived via medical transport per Marshall Cognatus' orders."

"I see. That is not good news at all. Put everyone on alert. Something is not right. Call out the reserves and the trackers, alert IRIS Special Forces Command and the IRSB, and get General Kaidlen Shan in here, now!"

The guard officer saluted and ran out to relay the Prince's instructions to his superiors and their liaisons with the other security agencies. Within moments Klaxxon's sounded as the Royal Palace went on high alert. The High Prince arose from his chair and left his office. Guards immediately took up position behind him as he left the royal corridors and headed for a specific turbolift that would take him to the Palace Infirmary. He strode past the nurses and doctors and waived them off as they approached and was greeted by Palace Security guards on duty who led him to the ward where Captain Quinn was staying for treatment. He walked in directly, and he did not look happy. Until he knew what had happened, it would be pointless to place blame or point fingers, and he also knew it was no easy feat to get pass or defeat the special training of the man before him, therefore his oppoonents must have been worthy indeed.

"Captain, I came immediately after I heard. Please report."

Kai sat down on the ammo crate and sighed. Back on Courascant. Such fun.... He and his men had been able set foot on Kuat before getting summoned back to the Capitol. It all had something to do with a debriefing on the Kamino mission, along with a complaint that had been filed regarding the Armor Commander' written reports on the subject. Kai hated it. He was terrible at writing and it seemed that was all he did nowadays. Now that he was an officer, he saw very little of the hard training that he used to enjoy. Instead he got to fill out paper work and shmooze the higher ups in hopes of securing funding for his men and their equipment.
It had been about three weeks since the trial had ended. It felt like just yesterday. Of course, being back in the very hangar he had been sitting in when that whole mess had started wasn't helping his frame of mind either. He was, however, mildly curious as to what exactly was wrong with his Kamino reports. He had jotted all of it down as acurately as he could. Maybe that was the problem.

The alarms suddenly sprang to life, klaxxons threatening to blow someone's eardrum out if they didn't get away. Kai sprang from the crate he was sitting on and pulled on his helmet. Information was already scrolling across almost all of the multiple screens on his HUD. All commanders and senior officers were being ordered to the CC. Including him. He was mildly surprised to see his name on the list of men required to show. He was only supposed to be here for another ten hours.
He sighed and walked to the broom closet of an office they had let him borrow. He slid his gear from the duffle bag and quickly attached it to his frame. Once he was cofident that the only thing he would be losing if someone raided the office was his bag, he turned on his heel and sprinted toward the CC.

It took a little longer than he had hoped it would, but after some minutes had passed.... about twenty or thirty.... he was sitting in the main conference room of the CC, wondering what the hell was going on as he waited for everyone else to show up.

General Kaidlen Shan was sitting in her office, going over the various reports from her commanders.
"Ma'am, His Majesty has ordered you into his presence. Something has occurred." Shan's secretary informed her.
"I am on my way." Kaidlen replied, standing up. She left the reports where they lay.
Within moments, she had reached Stratus's office.
"He's not here General." Diandra's assistant informed her.
"I can find him. Thank you." Kaidlen replied. She reached out with the Force and pinpointed where the High Prince was. She also sensed another familiar presence with him. Following what her senses told her, she made her way to the Infirmary.
"Sire, you called for me?"

Kev McLairson bolted up from a sound sleep when his commlink went off, summoning him to the High Prince's office within the Imperial Palace. He ran a hand over his jaw, and felt stubble growing there. With a yawn that nearly dislocated his jaw, Kev looked over at the chrono. Three hours of sleep, after having been on the go for over 48 hours nonstop. With a sigh, he pulled himself out of bed and staggered to the refresher.
Ten minutes later, scrubbed and clean shaven, McLairson exited the refresher and pulled his uniform on. He then stepped into his boots, snagged a container of caf and popped the heat tab on it. His transport pulled up, allowing him to climb in. Kev then took a long pull of the now hot caf and sighed in pleasure. He finished it during the brief time it took him to arrive at the Palace and get inside.
Dodging through all the various people who moved about their daily tasks, the blue haired Group Captain made his way to his destination. He entered the outer office where he usually met with High Prince Stratus and spotted the assistant.
"Col.....Group Captain Kev McLairson reporting as ordered." Kev gave a sheepish smile, as he corrected his rank.

Vex managed to get to the Ministry of Defense but just before he could reach the place where the papers needed to be delivered, a message came to his datapad. He could not help but to look at the incoming message to find something he has never seen before... a Red Alert issued to all Military Personnel by the Command Marshal Cognatus.

His face expression changed immediately, he had to report immediately to his Superior... but due to the recent formation of the 21st Fighter Squadron he was not really sure who he had to report to... Perfect timing for an emergency He thought, a feeling of anger began to rise.

The Major took the best option he managed to come up with, he sent a quick transmission to his friend and 2IC the Lieutenant Sandel Pepe. A digital image of the Lieutenant popped up in his datapad and saluted the Corellian.

"Lieutenant Pepe reporting... Ve...Sir!" He said, it was quite obvious that he was still getting used to all the formalism, one that they didn't have when they were both mercenaries before joining the IR Military.

"Sandel, as you might know we have code red, get the Raikiris ready for scramble as soon as possible, I will join all of you as soon as I can." Vexander began to walk towards the exit of the Ministry of Defense.

"Will do, but what is going on? Do you have an idea?" He asked.

No idea... Will need to find out and then I will prepare a briefing for the whole squad. Need to go.

Roger that Major, stay safe.

Ok... Raikiris getting ready... now what? Vex read once again the message sent to his datapad... he had to think what he could do... "Fleet and Batallion Commanders should report to the Coruscant Military Field Command Center." That was not far, but he was not a Fleet or Batallion Commander... he was just one Wing Commander without knowledge of who he had to report to...

Guess I don't have much of a choice. The Major began to walk directly to the CC to report to whoever could meet with him there.

RHEN VAR

Rhen Var, a vibrant planet, filled with icy mysteries from the Clone Wars, once a major key point for the Republic, many moons ago. Rhen Var, now was used as a military store house, housing combat vehicles to walkers to special weapons. Even a special department of R&D operates out of Rhen Var. The Army Fort that was dedicated to a long lost hero, who died serving the Galactic Empire during its civil war against the Imperial Remnants.

Approximately forty-two minutes after Contact ceased.
Fort Guardian lay silent, the normal patrol was no where to be found. The guard towers remain empty and the several armored walkers are motionless.

It is not common for a typical merc group to manage a covert assault, and there was no signs of any battle. There is only one reason....

Dene struggled for a moment while in his office, located in the Ministry of Defense tower. "It can't be.." He tried to meditate but his mind became clouded. "The Darkside I sense." Dene quickly turned around to face the voice, but nothing was there.

Dene stretched out with the force. ~Master Stratus, I need your guidance, the dark side I sense~ Dene stood up from his meditation form and smirked at his lack of concentration. "What is bothering me so much?" He shook his head and walked to the Command Center, awaiting the arrival of his officers and the High Prince.

As Stratus walked into the infirmary Jared was growling at a nurse who had been trying to keep him in bed, he wasn't about to stay in a bed and act like a invalid while Diandra was Ara knew where with Ara knew who. "I'm not about to stay in this fraking bed when I have a duty to attend to. Now find me a uniform and a service pistol before I find it myself."

As Stratus spoke Jared turned and knew he was about to get an ear bashing he wouldn't soon forget."Your Majesty, the ship we had chartered to return us to Coruscant was assaulted during a short drop in deep space. They took us by surprise and incapacitated myself. As for Lady Devin if you are here I can only imagine the 18th Fleet only found me aboard the ship."

It was then the nurse came back with a military uniform for Jared that had been sent over for him along with a service blaster.Jared also noticed Kaidlen arrive shortly after the nurse."If you will excuse me your majesty, ma'am. I'd like to get dressed and be on my way."

He blamed himself for Diandra's kidnapping and was going to do whatever he had to do to find her, even if it meant doing it without Prince Stratus or Dene's permission. Jared knew of a few people he squeeze for information if it came down to it, he was worried about Diandra and who could have grabbed her since he didn't get a good look at their uniforms or see any insignia's on the armor they had been wearing when they came through the airlock.

He also knew if he went off the reservation that it would make finding Diandra more difficult but that was something he was willing to deal with especially with the vow he had taken only a week before.

~ Somewhere in the Galaxy... ~

Diandra woke to the sound of a cell door being slammed. When her eyes opened, she couldn't see much of anything beyond the small circle of light that she was in. She couldn't even begin to tell how large the room was. All she knew at the moment is that the circle of light fell on a filthy mattress and that she was on it. She also knew that she was beyond disoriented and furthermore, frightened. She wished that Jared was around, but knew that if the men had come and gotten her that it was likely they'd somehow managed to incapacitate him.

What would they do to here here? What would happen? What if no one ever came for her? What then? Upon thinking that, she began to chastize herself.

Don't you dare, she thought to herself. Don't you dare doubt Jared like that. You know that Jared will be the first one busting down the doors to this joint to get to you. He made a promise, and Quinn doesn't ever break his promises.

What she needed to do was to start plotting some sort of escape, some sort of plan to keep herself busy. She needed to explore, and find out what kind of room she was in. Very carefully, she swung her legs over the side of the mattress. Her feet touched the ground. Very carefully, she stood and began to feel it all out. Ara knows if there was a pit in the middle of the room to swallow her whole if she wasn't careful!

There. Twenty paces straightforward; she turned when she reached the corner of the room, feeling the slimy wall beneath her hand. They were either somewhere very wet, or they were underground, since no wall that she knew of above ground ever felt like this. She congratulated herself on her observation and then began to pace out the length of her room. Fifteen paces; then she reached the other wall, in which there was no opening for a door. Where then, had the sound come from? She began to feel over the wall carefully, her eyes straining to see in the dark. Somewhere here there must be an opening! How else was she put in? Unless...

Diandra looked up at the ceiling then, shading her eyes to look at the circle of light on the mattress that was to be her bed. What if there were no doors? What if they had a hole in the ceiling through which they'd put her? That concerned Diandra. Furthermore, she had not felt over anything that resembled hygenic facilities.

"Ugh," she said aloud, now beyond her fear and rather miffed.

She had paced out the edges of the room; now it was time to search out the middle. Not one to be stupid and walk straight across, she dropped to her hands and knees and felt it out carefully. No loose stones. No holes. Just a smooth floor which she was unable to tell if it were dirt or duracrete. Satisfied that the room was not booby-trapped, she rose, and thanked Ara that she'd thought to dress in a thick sweater and a pair of durable pants. Her shoes weren't the type for climbing -- they were simple ballet flats -- but at least they would be comfortable. She dusted her hands off on the back of her pants and then strode the rest of the way to where the light was.

"You'll be sorry," she called up to it. "You'll be sorry that you ever kidnapped me! Jared Quinn is on his way as I speak, and he will hurt every single one of you, mark my words! If you let me go now and drop me off at a safe point, I can promise you that he won't string you up by your entrails while you're still alive!"

When no one answered, Diandra flopped down on the mattress and pulled her knees to her chest. She would not be despaired. She would not. Jared would come for her, and he would get her out of this stinking hole with its dirty mattress and no bathroom. At least there weren't any bugs. So far.

The tall trandoshan walked and kneeled before a shadow of a figure. "My lord, the girl has been captured, just as you forsaw." The green eye lizard was about to continue before the shadow stopped him with his malicious voice. "General Treik, you have failed me for the last time, I wanted the soldier dead, not wounded, not spared." With a raise of his hand, the trandoshan quickly gasped at his throat, finding it harder to breath before blackening out. The dark being threw the Once-General into the wall before making a signal to his guards.

Moments later the armor clad cloaked figure made his way to Diandra's cell. "Ah, Lady Devin. It is so wonderful to see you again, I can see that your still in one piece." He crackled lightly. "I will not hurt you Lady Devin, but that doesn't mean harm won't come to you." A grin grew across his face, a probe droid following suit behind him.

"This droid, it can do a great many things, non of which you desire upon yourself, I assure you."
The speaker had one red eye and a normal green eye, similar to Kamino born humans. It was apparent that the speaker, had droid body parts. Perhaps once human.

"You will answer my questions and perhaps this droid will not have to be used, but if I feel you are lying to me, then you will feel my wrath."

"Firstly, Lady Devin, who was the soldier with you? and why was he protecting you? Its not very common that I see a Lord or Lady with Imperial Republic protection." He awaited an answer, obviously seeking to feed off of her emotional situation.

Diandra had been dozing lightly. She could not tell how long it had been as the light over her head had not moved. Now, as the armor clad and cloaked figure entered the room, she jolted awake. The sound of his voice immediately grated on her nerves, and she jumped off the mattress to her feet. She was disoriented now only because she had been dozing, though it came back to her now that she was in some horrid little cell awaiting rescue.

Diandra watched the man carefully; at first he would feel her confusion, then anger, and then he'd feel that anger turn to unadultered rage and pure disgust. Then, her emotional slate went blank, as did her face. Diandra the Ice Queen was back in full force. This man was not the one she loved, this man was not one she trusted. This man had every intention of harming her, she was sure, even if she did tell the truth. He had no business knowing how she felt.

"I am afraid," she said. "That I do not know you, and thus I cannot say that I am glad to find you in one piece. But you are going to answer my questions, as I am going to answer yours. I will answer your first question, and then you will answer one of mine." She was cool and calm as she said this and firm in her statements. The cloaked man would know that she'd made up her mind that if she was going to give intel, that he would return the favor and that if he did not, wild banthas wouldn't be able to drag information from her.

"That soldier was Jared Quinn. Mark my words, you'll be the first he kills when he comes to rescue me. Now then, what is it that you want with me?"

He laughed and motioned for the droid to remain still. "That is only fair I guess." He grinned. "Your boyfriend won't be coming, he is dead, but you can continue to fill your head with false emotions." His voice even had the eerie nerve racking scratch in it.

"I have no want or need for you, you are a simple pawn in my dejarik game." His voice strong the mere though of a human killing him made him burst out into laughter. "Not even your precious Jedi could defeat me, the collection of lightsabers I have collected over the last hundred years." Another grin stretching across his face. "What do you think is going to happen to you?" He grabbed a needle from the droid and penetrated her arm skin, injecting Hallucinogen into her.

He stood up, not giving her a chance to speak, soon she would start seeing her fears come to life. A few moments later he walked over to the cell where the base Commander lay.

"Colonel Grier, I promised not to harm your men but you have yet to tell me everything I want to hear about." The droid followed the armor clad creature into the room. Screams could be heard through out all the cells.

She had tried to pull away, but the man was much stronger than she. Unable to pull away, he'd jabbed her with a needle. The stuff inside it burned as it went in and Diandra clenched her jaw tightly. She made up her mind to try and fight the effects of whatever was going to happen now, since only Ara and the man knew what was in that needle.

"He is not dead," she said to him as he left. "He will kill you."

Diandra sat down on the mattress then. Even as she fought the oncoming feelings, she could hear the screams of another tortured individual and knew that she was not alone. If there were only some way that she could get to the others, they could try for an escape...!

She began to feel increasingly disoriented and confused. Her head spun and she was forced to lay back on the mattress and stare up at the light over her bed. The screams from the other cell soon became a part of the horrific things that she saw, and her own screams mingled with the General's. Even as her eyes and her body played tricks on her, she prayed that Jared would come. Then he'd see.

Vexander finally managed to get to the CC.

The young man entered the room ashamed and embarrased... however he was determined to do something in this rising emergency, this was his chance to get the Raikiris on their first official mission, and he had no one else to report to at the moment other than the Command Marshall himself.

The Major entered the room and as soon as he did he looked for the Command Marshall and as soon as possible he stood up in a firm position and saluted the Commanding Officer.

"Command Marshall Cognatus Sir! Major Vexander Smith Reporting in! Wing Commander of the 21st Fighter Squadron Sir.!"

The young man waited... a drop of sweat could be noticed in his forehead... it was obvious that he was nervous and he should, he was standing in front of the Command Marshall of the Military... he knew that he shouldn´t be there but if someone could provide him instructions and orders it could be him, or at least tell him who he should report to.

Dene returned the salute. "Relax Major, have a seat we will get started shortly, awaiting a few more people before I will start." Nodding slightly to the nervous Major with a smile.

"Captain, I am disappointed." The High Prince said nothing more. He handed to Jared a cylindrical device and held out his hand and one of his guards handed him another decent weapon. "I will not stop you from what you must do." He handed him the other weapon along with a datacard he pulled out of his pocket and then walked away. The contents of the datacard contained the location to a hangar on Coruscant with a fully-equipped assault shuttle with no government markings and private identification awaited him. It was loaded with its own arsenal, and the ship itself had been prepped for battle. Two Noghri hid aboard the ship, and two others guarded it, with two human special forces personnel already en route to join the search. The Noghri and the special forces operatives were at the Captain's command upon arrival. The datacard contained all authorization codes he would need to bypass all government red tape and grant him access to whatever he needed along the way. Rarely had the High Prince granted such power, but Diandra was important to him, and he still had faith in and trusted Jared. Without words he motioned for Kev to go with Captain Quinn. He turned to Kaidlen. "Walk with me. Dene needs our help." He then led the way to the situation room.

Jared stashed the Datapad and cylinder for a moment before he strapped the weapon to his hip, in moments he was moving at a swift pace towards the lifts while he dug around for a moment until his hand found the Comlink in the pocket of his uniform before he punched in the frequency he knew Dene used."Dene, It's Quinn. His majesty has given me the green light to find Di.. Lady Devin. I'll keep you in the loop since I have a feeling this is going to be one of those things where a few men and a few guns aren't going to cut it. McLairson is with me but I'm also going to need the unit."

He also wanted his armor and his rifle, if all hell was about to come down around his ears he wanted the unit he'd fought with for the better part of five years with. He wanted men he could count on in the thick of the suck when the difference in the sway of a battle was a single blaster bolt and that was something they specialized in and had become something they were known for.

His thoughts also turned to Diandra knowing with each passing moment she could be in mortal peril and that was something that caused his gut to twist, but it also fueled his anger and rage which was one of those things that make Jared as dangerous as he was. He was wholly focused on his objective of finding Diandra and bringing whoever had done this to their knees infront of him before he made them beg for their lives.

The young Major took a seat and waited for the briefing to start.

CORUSCANT
"Captain, you can take your men but I must inform you, your walking into a trap, the darkside is very present and I fear, you are not ready to face a true dark sider. But non-the less I won't stop you." Dene's voice hinted at compassion for his friend, but feared the end for the young officer may be sooner then he would want.

"I want you to take two jedi with you for protection, they are quite skilled and will offer good protection." He motioned for two of the jedi knights near him to find and meet up with Quinn. But if what Dene fears is true, an entire jedi armada would have to be summoned to battle the dark side forces. He shook his head, wondering if his mind was tainted, but he knew it would be very unlikely due to his will power being so powerful, his feelings were not feelings at all, but the future.

Dene walked up to the podium as he spotted the Supreme Ruler and General Shan, he began to speak. A holo image relaying the planet Rhen Var. "About 8 hours ago, we lost contact with the entire planet. Not even a single transmission was sent out. A strike fleet is being assembled to investigate, and I have two assault fleets on stand by." Dene motioned as the image changed to the Fort which remained motionless. "There is 8,000 men stationed at this Fort, it is one of our most fortified positions. We do not know who these invaders are, but we have received reports, dating 45 minutes prior to the last contact with the base." Dene paused for a moment, the image changed again, this time it showed what looked to be a fleet, but not any ordinary fleet. "This is not our fleet, and any attempt to hail has been met with destruction, the technology of these enemies is quite superior to ours." Dene watched and sensed the tension in the room rise, with fear.

RHEN VAR

Screams were heard through out the prison cells most of the night, a lot of the prisoners who were not tortured were starting to become emotionally insane. Knawing at the bars, some even resorting to suicide to end the torture. Out of the legion that was assigned here, most of the soldiers were moved to the enemy fleet, and any attempt at mutiny was meet with public execution.

Back on Coruscant

Dene began to speak again as the images were shut off and he returned to the podium. "I will personally be over-seeing this entire operation, no scouts will be used due to the imminent threat. We will have to overcome the enemy fleet through sheer force, and will have to break through the enemy blockades." He took a breath. "What is left of our Jedi Companions will join us in our fight." He nodded to a few jedi masters before continuing. "Finally, there isn't a whole lot of intel on this, everything will be by the eye, what you see is what you have. If its not ours, stun or destroy."

Dene grabbed his datapad and relayed it through the holo-image player to show the assignment list.

It read:

Strike Team
Jedi Master Cognatus (Lead)
Commander Wallace (Padawan, and operation XO)
Major Smith (Assault Wing)
Major Ciunus (Heavy Assault Armor)
Major Chamberlain (Infantry)

All the other names became unreadable as you focus on yours. (If I missed you please let me know! Stratus and Shan, you are welcome to come but only if you volunteer)

Dene waited as everyone finished and nodded. "Then Gentlemen and ladies, I think we have some scum to exterminate. Your dismissed." Dene nodded as the officers saluted and exited, heading to the awaiting fleet.

"Your Majesty, I sense the Sith are behind this." He said with confidence, afterall Dene is never wrong. "This may be the start of something big." Dene smirked but awaited the Prince's statement.

RHEN VAR
The name the evil doer was given became quite popular, everyone called him Tyrant, and he accepted the name. He walked by Diandra's cell once more to tease her and taint her. "Ah, Lady Devin, it seems your republic friends aren't coming, unfortunately I had to destroy quite the fleet in space." He started crackling. "Its to bad for you, your such a pretty thing." He grinned evilly as he walked away. His light saber clanking with his semi-droid body.

A moment later he kneeled upon a communication pad and another shadow of a figure appeared. "My master, Rhen Var is ours, soon the rebel scum will attempt their pathetic attempt at an invasion, we have found what we came here to find and I have sent it your way." He said with the utmost respect he could muster.

"Very good, Darth Malikus, you have done well." The phantom image shut off. Darth Malikus grinned.

"Surface Marshall, you don't need to send two Jedi with the Group Captain on this mission." McLairson raised his voice just loud enough to be heard. He raised his right hand over his head, a black and silver cylinder grasped in his grip. He hated having to reveal what he was about to, but did not see a choice in the matter. "I happen to be a Shadow Jedi Sir. And since His Majesty has already assigned me to the mission, gives you one more Jedi to use elsewhere."
He waited for the outburst to his announcement. Kev also waited to see what Cognatus would say.

He turned to face the Captain. "With all respect Captain, Quinn will need all the support he can get, I feel even with you, Quinn will have a major struggle." He couldn't blame the Captain for his statement but he could feel the burn in his chest from what is coming. He walked closer to the Captain. "My friend, you must protect Quinn, and these jedi will help you, if you are to face a sith lord, while on Rhen Var, you are asking for trouble." His emotions were blank and serious.

"Oh and Captain, stick to the shadows." He turned to face the Supreme Ruler.

Diandra herself was beginning to feel quite insane. The screams and terror that were around her were beginning to chip away at the icy exterior and icy feelings that she'd made herself put on. She wanted in the worst way to find some sort of escape and wished for a moment that she were a Jedi. At least as a Jedi she would have the real chance of escape, of being able to reach out and touch on someone's mind for comfort. Instead, as Tyrant came around to taunt her, she laughed outright at his statements.

"You, then, do not know Jared Quinn. Jared Quinn is hell on wheels, and he is on his way this minute. It won't be just him, though; he'll probably bring his entire team with him, and then some. Then you'll be sorry, you slemo."

Her voice had been sing-song through out the statement, and, just to annoy him, she became as cheerful as she could be and began to sing the happiest song that she could think of. She hoped that she was annoying the Tyrant greatly because what could be better than utter cheer in the face of death and despair?

I am not insane, she told herself quietly when the idiot (that's what she thought of him) had passed. Damn! If only I had the strength....!

She wanted in the worst way at that moment to be like Stratus because Stratus, or even Kaidlen, or Dene could rip the door off the cell with the force and march after that idiot, and kill him where he stood. Now, she realized that he was probably a dark-sider, and knew that it would most likely be a good fight, but still.

For a moment, she pretended that she was force sensitive and a Jedi. The thought was rather comforting. Now, as she stared at the spot where Tyrant usually appeared, she pretended that she was a Jedi with great strength in the force. She stared hard and long at the door, willing it to move, willing it to budge. She pretended that she could hear the door to her cell creaking and groaning under the force of her concentration.

It was a comforting thought, wasn't it?

The High Prince arrived in the Palace Situation Room to find it had been converted to the War Room yet again. The Palace housed a War Room though it had only been used in times of all out war. It mainly served also for smaller military operations. Realistically the Situation Room was more efficient as it housed emergency units of every security agency, intelligence branch, and all of the finest crypt chiefs and communications equipment in the galaxy. Little known to most, there was a secret Kuat facility that duplicated the Palace Situation Room in every way, and was constantly uplinked to the main PSR, though seldom had any operation been conducted from the Kuat location. A few more backup command centers existed with such facilities, though they were smaller and even more secret in nature. These weren't the military's command units, though they were used by the government for joint operations between military, intelligence, diplomatic corps, and other department cooperative operations. Secretly, the High Prince was enjoying the high paced sense of urgency, though never did he enjoy the circumstances surrounding such activities. It was a grave moment indeed. They needed to find Diandra, and find out how their security had been so easily penetrated, or perhaps, why there had been little to no security at all in the first place. He spotted the Command Marshall, who had assumed Battle Command. The very fact that this had occured, meant the military was being mobilized and prepared for action, which had not occurred for years. Such was the authority of the Minister of Defense to mobilize the armed forces independently without authorization for thirty days, though the Senate's approval was required thereafter, to maintain and continue operations following thirty days, and to officially declare war. The High Prince also had that authority solely to himself, though he did hope to see the Senate take a more active role in the government, since his return to power. He had full faith and confidence in the Acting Minister of Defense, though the laws would be enforced, and he hoped the Battle Commander knew his place.

"Well, well, Marshall Cognatus. I give you a ounce of power and you plunge my government into war. Wasn't getting arrested and standing on trial before the entire government enough publicity for you?" He chided. He always had a sense of humor, though he knew the times needed something more prudent for the occasion. The grin on his face was soon replaced with a solemn expression. With a dangerously alert expression now taking its place, his voice was audible for all to hear. "Marshall, REPORT."

Dene wished he could return the humor but he didn't. "Your majesty, I assure you my acquisition of these military units are fully in my jurisdiction, I have elevated the alert to Red, but I have not declared war, ill let the politicians waste time on that. However I set up a rescue operation and acquired some units." Dene knew that some of the higher ups may feel he was pushing powers but he knew his duty well, he had been fulfilling it for many years.

"As for the report, Lady Devin has been captured, and we have spotted an enemy fleet over Rhen Var. So far any attempts to make contact have been failures, these invaders only bring death with them, and I feel the Sith are behind this." Dene kinda turned his head away, he continued to feel a burn in his chest, he just knew something was wrong.

"We also lost contact with Fort Guardian, which has high-tech R&D operations running. But for now its going to remain a rescue mission with military Rules of Engagement." A moment later he walked closer to the Prince. "I know what you did sire, Quinn. We must follow him, and we must find Lady Devin, I feel it may be to late for her already." He said. "Please listen to me, Lady Devin is the first to face our enemy, but the target is you, and they are around us, I can feel them..."

Dene noticed behind Stratus with one eye, one of the Palace Guards were slowly raising a holdout pistol from inside his chest plate. The guard didn't even get a chance to pull the trigger, Dene pounced and ignited his black lightsaber, quickly slicing both of the guards' hands off and force pushing him hard into a concrete wall.

"Your Majesty, your security is compromised."

MOD:

Quinn - You have been given all you need to set out to Rhen Var to find Diandra, 2 jedi and a few guards accompany you, plus your unit
Kev - You are assigned to aide Quinn
Diandra - You remain a prisoner, and as you been posting your becoming emotionally disturbed
Vexander - You entered the Operation Flagship "HMS Kelvin and are setting up with your squad (feel free to make small rp in between you and your men
Stratus - You were attacked and received the report from Dene (continue from post)
Shan - (react to attack on Stratus)
All other military officers, same thing as Vexander.

Few things to keep in mind (However YOU DO NOT KNOW THIS IC! YET)

Darth Malikus continues to dictate lives on Rhen Var, more and more Republic Soldiers die every day from torture, he has set a trap for the Republic invading party.

Darth Malikus is also a very powerful Sith Master (skill wise), aging around 150 years old, he serves the Dark Lord, who has yet to be identified, but it is assumed that only a grandmaster could even stand a chance against the Dark Lord. (future battle hint, hint :))

The High Prince did not even flinch. He too had sensed danger nearby, but he was unable to pinpoint it. He noticed Dene reacting and he maintained his calm as he felt he had it under control. Though he did need to tune in a little deeper, he was a little slow today, or this week even. It seemed that he was finally beginning to age, which would require more strength from the Force to counter it and rejuvinate with more energy. "That," he said pointing at the supposed guard "is not a member of my guard. I can guarentee as much." The Royal Guard had been recently reorganized. Every member of the guard had undergone rigorous screening, training, and were subject to the mind probes of himself and General Shan. He was confident in their loyalty. There were, however, many in the government or even in localized security such as the Palace Security Agency that were perhaps, far from above reproach. He turned to General Shan. "General, investigate this further. Find out how this would-be assassin managed to get clearance into this room, and a weapon in my presence." He paused for a moment as a thought occurred to him. "Marshall, General, let's re-emphasize Article 2.8 of the Imperial Republic Charter. I expect it to be fully enforced. Remember that Lady Devin is now included under its premesis."

Article 2.8-Threats Against Persons with Royal Status said:

Any assault, assassination or attempts thereof on a member of the Throne, Royal Family, or High Council, or anyone with royal status is deemed as Treason and can be punishable by life sentence or execution. The Royal Guard of these persons will open fire on such assailants when an attempt is made and the assailant may be killed instantly. The same goes for actions listed above against a member of the any government office, and is deemed as Treason and in some cases High Treason. If the assailant is able to be disarmed/disabled and caught any such person(s) will be immediately placed under arrest and charged with their offense in High Inquisition. Attacks made against the Armed Defense Forces or government leaders by those of other Sovereign states may be considered an act of war, and will be dealt with swift action by the Armed Forces.

"Shan, you have your orders. Dismissed. Report back when you have something." He turned his attention back to Dene as a chill ran up his spine, though he did not let it take notice. "The Sith, you say?" Though the High Prince was getting older, he did not let it show, most of the time. He relied on the Force to rejuvinate his body and maintain his physical and mental strength, as well as the large amount of energy he needed to be the Supreme Ruler of the Imperial Republic. "Follow the Rules of Engagement, Command Marshall." He thought for a moment and smiled. "And place a copy of the Rules of Engagement that you are currently following on my desk as quickly as possible. Remember that Throne and/or Senate authority is required for escalation, especially of a longer termed nature. You are acting of course on appropriate authority, however if this gets too complicated, as you suspect the Sith, we may need to escalate the scale of this operation into one that I am usually inclined to resist, as it never ends pretty. Send whatever backup you can to aide Group Captain Quinn. In the meantime, what are your current plans and operations in play? And what do you need from me at this point?"

The High Prince noted that as he discussed the subject of sending backup that his had just arrived. The Noghri Shadow Guard had just activated itself and now came into visible view, a rare tactic, along with reinforcements from the Royal Guard Rapid Response Unit. He could hear heavy metalic clicks on the ground outside the blast door of the Situation Room, where no doubt, two IRSOC Sentinel droids were taking position outside the doors.

The electro-staff that the Commandant of the Royal Guard wore on her back buzzed into life as she whipped it around. When it came to a stop in front of her, it was deactivated.
"We'll be right on it Sire." Kaidlen stated, her voice more of a growl than normal. "If you will not have any issue with it Sire, the Royal Guard will take all members of the Palace Security Agency into custody. I will request now the right to draft in assistance from other agencies that I know are loyal to assist with this task."
As she spoke, the General pressed a couple of buttons on the armored gauntlet that she wore. Several members of the Royal Guard that were already present responded with actions so quickly that they were almost a blur. Within mere moments, they had the various members of the Palace Security Agency present rounded up and were escorting them out of the room. Those PSA members that did not resist were quietly led off, while those that resisted were slapped into stun cuffs.
Before she moved from her spot, Kaidlen did something that she only tended to do in private, and rarely at that. She reached out through the Force towards Jim.
*What about the Shadow Guard that was set on Lady Devin before she left on her vacation? Any word from them? Any news on them?* Was her telepathic inquiry. She remain around long enough to receive the High Prince's reply before stalking off to take care of the task set before her.

Diandra had long since stopped pretending that she was a Jedi. The hallucinations had long since died away, leaving her in a more sane state of mind. She was not, as the others were, gnawing the bars of her cell or even resorting to ending her life. None of that would do her any good; she had a life to get back to, for one, and secondly, it wouldn't do Jared any good when he came to get her. Oh, she knew that the others were probably joining in the search to find her, but it would be Jared and his team who would find her first, of that she was certain.

Instead, Diandra was now focusing on memories that brought her comfort. A little smile played across her face as she thought of them, and her mind was now focusing on the first Balle Royale that she had attended. Jared had swept her off her feet quite literally, and she'd rebuffed any advance that he'd made. Secretly, she'd enjoyed the attention, though at the time she would have never admitted such a thing to herself.

Her mind wandered back then to the Force. Ara, if she'd only been born with it! She might be dead by now, but at least she would have a chance for freedom. She hated the waiting, the screams, the terror that surrounded her. Back she went to pretending she had the force. In fact, she convinced herself that the Force users in her life had simply never been able to sense her because she kept herself hidden, quite by accident. It was impossible not to overhear discussions about the force and the things that could be done with it when surrounded by so many who could use it, so she knew these sorts of things were possible.

In her mind now, she used the "force" and reached out to those in her life. ~Jared! Dene, Kaidlen, Stratus!~

She could feel them answering her in her head, almost hear the nuances of their voices. Reaching out through the "force" again, she sent another message. ~ Please, help me. I don't know how much more I can take of this. I think that my abilities are being repressed by that idiot. Please, where are you? When will you come for me?~

They answered her back, all at once and not all at one time. ~We are here,~ They said to her. ~We are coming, do not despair.~

Tears of relief rolled down Diandra's cheeks, but instead of hiding them, she let them fall as she sat there. She knew now for sure, at least, that they would be coming for her, and that soon they would be there to get her out.

(Please note that I am not saying that Diandra has the force. She has only convinced herself that she does, in an attempt to keep herself coherently sane.)

Jared had found the assault shuttle Stratus had given him to do what was needed, inside he had found the four noghri and the other two special forces operators along with the rest of his ODST unit who were giving him odd looks about assembled so quickly and told to bring their gear. It was then that Ghear approached him with the question written on his face.Briefing inside of the shuttle while we suit up."

After they boarded the shuttle each of the soldiers began donning their armor as did Jared, he was still curious about the cylindrical device he had been handed by his majesty but knew there would be time to figure out what it was once they were enroute to Rhen Var to find Diandra. As the unit finished donning most of their armor he looked over all those present."We're headed out towards Rhen Var from the sounds of it, no one knows what we will find once we get there but our objective isn't dealing what we find. Our objective is to find Lady Devin and escort her back to the shuttle. I don't need to remind any of you the gravity of what we're going into or the fact that we're going in dead blind."

As Jared continued the briefing his mind went to Diandra hoping they would beable to find her quickly and get out of there before they were noticed too much, Jared also felt a cold presence when he thought of Rhen Var like someone was looking back at him when he thought of it. He was also apprehensive given the warning Dene had given him about walking into a trap, if it was a trap that would mean most of those present on the shuttle wouldn't survive but it was something he kept to himself at the moment.

He felt the shuttle begin to lift from the bay it had been in and knew soon enough they would be in space and headed towards Rhen Var, Jared knew little about the facility since he didn't have much of a hand in any of the R&D section of the military. He had heard rumors like any other soldier but knew now he would find about first hand.

"Negative, General. While aspects of the Palace Security Agency may be compromised, I do not believe the entire body has. Screen every member on and off duty, then clear them. Do it personally if you have to, and you know the screening I mean. The agency is vital to the security of this palace, and of the Throne. Run them through whatever processes and screening you wish, but then restore those that pass back to active duty.
